Confirmation is a path to membership for youth in Eigth Grade and above. This 17-week intensive study includes attending worship each weekend, attending Wednesday evening confirmation classes and attending an opportunity to serve our community through Community Dinner at the Center of Grace. Most of what will be taught centers around scripture, and secondarily the workings and history of the United Methodist Church. We will talk about other denominations and ways of worship, but the focus will be on whom we are and whose we are as children of the living God and preparing to make a faith commitment that will last the rest of our lives.
Adult mentors serve a vital role in the Confirmation process. Mentors will attend class each week with their students, learning and discussing teaching topics alongside one another in a small group setting.
If your student is interested in joining the Confirmation Class of 2017, please complete and return the Registration Form by Dec. 11. Students and mentors can also download a copy of the Confirmation Class Schedule for easy reference.
