Grace Extravaganza

Grace Extravaganza

Grace Extravaganza started in 2005. Because of your generosity, in the last decade, the Extravaganza has raised over $550,000!
Our primary Mission outreach has been by our Youth, making over 30 trips in the last 10 years. Grace youth have served in KC, St. Louis, Omaha, Moore, OK, and most recently, impoverished communities in Detroit. They also had the opportunity to view the world and its needs by serving in Mexico and Guatemala.
For 26 years, Grace members, have traveled to Mexico to provide medical and dental care to people in the impoverished village of Tochimizolco. Each year, between 500 and 600 medical patients are seen and 230 dental procedures are done...over 18,000 total patient visits!
In 2014 our own working mission at the Center of Grace provided: 24,000 meals, 710 pairs of shoes for children, 500 health screenings, 130 backpacks and 100 meals/day for Boys & Girls Club.
Fund-a-Need: Specifically directed funds for larger projects both locally and worldwide, such as: Clean water efforts in Haiti & Liberia, Liberia Hope School for the Deaf, Brighter Future Children's Rescue Center in Liberia, United Methodist Southern Coalfields MInistry, $59,000 to Grace Love Fund which provided rent and utility assistance for over 600 Olathe families.

A New Decade Begins.... Come...Donate...Volunteer...Make a Difference!

Come and enjoy a fun-filled evening of food, fellowship and laughter!
The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. when the doors to the silent auction rooms open and appetizers and punch are served by our youth.  There are many different items to bid on including gift baskets, services, art work, sporting tickets and more!

At 7:00 p.m. the fun continues with a buffet dinner.  On the menu: Beef Burgundy, Herb Roasted Chicken Breasts, roasted winter vegetables and wide variety of decadent desserts.  After dinner, LIVE portion of the auction begins with the Nigro Brothers Auctioneers & Emcee KMBC 9 Chief Meteorologist Bryan Busby.  Live auction items include vacation homes around the U.S., popular sporting tickets, Dream Date Night on the Plaza, autographed basketballs/footballs/baseballs, and more.

All money raised from the auction supports the missions at the Center of Grace, including providing emergency assistance for low income families.  In past years, money was raised for the West Virginia Coalfields Ministry and the School for the Deaf in Liberia, Africa.  Grace Extravaganza also raises money for the Grace UMC mission trips for the youth and the annual medical mission trip to Tochimizolco, Mexico.
