The Medical Mission Team to Tochimizolco, Puebla, Mexico provides basic medical and dental care at no charge to persons who come to the Eben-Ezer Clinic.
The team leaves on Tuesday after Easter and returns the following Tuesday. The first day is a travel day flying from Kansas City to either Mexico City or Puebla, Mexico.
The second day is a day of securing supplies locally and acclimating to the country and culture. Days 3 through 6 are spent in the village of Tochimizolco seeing patients that come and stand in line to get a number to be seen by doctors and dentists and receive medicine from the pharmacy.
There are many activities as well as medical care being carried on by the local church, other churches, and residents of the town. Often used clothing is brought in, a Bible School is taking place for children, there is a fiesta on Saturdaynight and other surprises.
The atmosphere is one of joy and excitement and worship. Volunteers from Puebla and Atlixco (local cities) offer help in every area of work.
